My 1 week plus holiday

Before CNY : Watched Ink heart and brought Esther & Daphne to Pelindung..

(don't ask for any movie reviews from me.. not really a movie critic)

During CNY : I did not go anywhere, just lepak with family and relatives. Dinner was either at my 1st grandaunt's or 2nd grandaunt's place. My granduncle and family stayed at my place, so I get to meet my lil cousins again! All 3 of them are 3 years old this year.

Abigail went out with them everyday, while I, as usual, stayed at home most of the time.. except when they went to the beach and to ice-cream for supper!

Tanya

Tanya is an extrovert. She's the oldest among the three. Always talking, singing, jumping, asking questions, etc. She's really adorable, animated and competitive!

Amanda

Amanda is quieter. Very soft spoken and focused. She can do one thing for a very long time and still be entertained.. haha.. e.g During the whole hour at the beach, all she did was scooping water and pouring it away.

I don't have any pictures of Hui Xin since I seldom take pictures. Hui Xin is 2 months younger than Amanda. She's still terribly afraid of dad (probably because of his moustache). She would run and hug her mum tightly saying in Mandarin, "Mummy, don't go... Mummy, I love you, don't go..." She's also very talkative. Smart girl.

It was very hard to take their pictures since they did not want their pictures taken and just wanna play.. So those pictures are just candid shots.

The wind was very very strong. So it was hard to control the kite. As you can see, Gail and I were trying to stabilize the kite hahaha.. So, there goes my holiday in Kuantan. =)

Back!

I'll be back here until 2nd Feb.. I'm gonna appreciate so many things here!

1. Hot shower (it's cold staying near the hills in KL without water heater...)
2. Nice big comfy bed (sleeping on the mattress on the floor... quite dusty)
3. Cleaner air! (have to sweep floor every 2 days cz it gets dusty very fast over there)
4. Distance (have to always take public transport to go anywhere, and even to uni it takes more than 10 minutes.... here, all 5 minutes!)
5. Family and friends whom can understand me and I can understand them.. (family far away, and friends who speaks to me need to translate all the time..)
6. Free food (bleh.. no need explain)

and so much more!! coconut, cendol, tc, ice-cream....... and I wanna watch a movie or two before I leave. Got no TV there and it's quite troublesome to go to cinema there.

Dreams

Recently I've been having really terrible nightmares. So bad that I have been disturbed by them in my dream and when I'm awake. But now the nightmares sort of disappear and I dreamt another dream a few days ago....

Have you had a dream which is so ridiculous, weird and odd that you can only remember parts of your dream? (well, of course you have!)... I have and still gonna dream those funny dreams. But to me, those dreams aren't so significant. It is hard to put those pieces that I remember back together.

The dream I had a few days ago was unlike any other dream. In fact, it felt so real and amazing that I woke up not feeling tired, sleepy or grumpy.... I was widely awake and went, "woahh... what was that?" That dream seemed unfit for me; imposibble to achieve, but I could remember every single detail of it. And I have decided I want to believe that that dream will come to pass.

What if the dreams that you have are there for a reason? What if they are placed there at that particular time and you can recall every single part of your dream?

Updates!

I've survived 1st week of class! A bit dramatic, yes.. but having to make friends all over again and adapt to a new uni culture life AND start studying again after 13 months break.. I manage to cope.. thank God!

For those who do not know, I'm in UTAR Setapak doing acturial science. This intake for the course is around 30-40 students only. So, lectures are more interactive and the lecturers will get to identify if someone is absent. Thankfully, I've met a group of friends so I'm not alone during breaks, lectures, etc.

I'm taking 6 subjects this semester : 4 Maths subject, 1 business accounting and 1 basic professional writing. Still coping, trying to cover as many foundation topics as I can before the lecturers get deeper into the subject.

How's my accommodation? I'm sharing a master bedroom with 2 other girls - one of them rents the room to put her stuff but not staying in. My housemates consist of 4 guys and 2 girls, including me. Everyone here loves animals; so it's no surprise that we have dozens of hamsters, gliders, gerbils, fish, birds and reptiles. I usually take the bus to and from college, if not, I'll pay extra for a cab.

One week in KL. Haven't look for a church but I'm settling down quite well.. =)

After mMYPG, God taught me many things. One of them is to trust in Him at ALL times and to let Him take control. The God whom I serve is awesome and I should not limit what He can do. Having so many responses was not what I expected. Being able to pull off this event was not what I expected. But He's great, providing me with supportive committee, friends and family!

BersatUnite was last Saturday and I wanna congratulate Esther and team for doing a great job organising this event.

It was amazing to see so many youths coming to these events to worship, to pray and to share the same passion.

The message has been sent across. Will you join hands with us to intercede for our nation?
