Business Law 2

Quoting my lecturer:
In Switzerland, you can't wash your car on Sundays.
Because Sunday is a rest day for them
And if you wash your car, you are disturbing your neighbors' rest..

But..
In Malaysia, you can wash your car...
you can stand on your car
and dance
on Sundays

Business Law

You ordered chicken rice
You get duck rice
You can choose to cancel your order (rescind the contract)
or just eat the duck rice (accept the contract)

Afterall,
Chicken look like duck and Duck look like chicken
And they still come out the same the next day
So no difference

My lecturer jokes with a very straight face. So it's really funny. And he's good at telling stories.

Write my story

God, I'll put my pen down
And let You write my life's story

Our goal: To please God

2 Cor 5:9 (NLT)

So whether we are here in this body or away from this body, our goal is to please Him.

Quoting from My Utmost For His Highest, be blessed =)

It requires a conscious decision and effort to keep our primary goal constantly in front of us. It means holding ourselves to the highest priority year in and year out; not making our first priority to win souls, or to establish churches, or to have revivals, but seeking only "to be well pleasing to Him". It is not a lack of spiritual experience that leads to failure, but a lack of working to keep our eyes focused and on the right goal. At least once a week examine yourselves before God to see if your life is measuring up to the standard He has for you. Paul was like a musician who gives no thought to audience approval, if he can only catch a look of approval from his Conductor.

Any goal we have that diverts us even to the slightest degree from the central goal of being "approved to God" (2 Tim 2:15) may result in our rejection from further service for Him. When you discern where the goal leads, you will understand why it is so necessary to keep "looking unto Jesus" (Heb 12:2). Paul spoke of the importance of controlling his own body so that it would not take him in the wrong direction. He said, "I discipline my body and bring it unto subjection, lest... I myself should become disqualified" (I Cor 9:27)

I must learn to relate everything to the primary goal, maintaining it without interruption. My worth to God publicly is measured by what I really am in my private life. Is my primary goal in life to please Him and to be acceptable to Him, or is it something less, no matter how lofty it may sound?

numi's blog

one man said
when you entered this word you were crying and everyone else was laughing
when you leave this earth
will you be happy
while others sad at your departure

From numi's blog..

Numi, have you ever wondered why so many people are STILL reading your blog
And copy and paste many things from your blog?
It is attractive
The writer is attractive
Her God is attractive

=)

Stay close to Him, you'll discover much more

A thought

When I was done with my crazy 8th week of semester, I read the news about Japan, and thought to myself, "Here I am complaining about my busy week while so many people over there just lost their loved ones, their home, their belongings..."

After doing so much, what are we trying to achieve eventually?

When everything is being taken away from us, where to we go from there?

Praying for Japan. Praying for restoration.

Quiet

It's always nice when I get to find some place quiet to seek Him, just spend time praying and worshiping in my own space and time.

I love You, Lord
And I lift my voice
To worship You
O, my soul rejoice

Take joy, my King
In what You hear
May it be a sweet, sweet sound
In Your ear

Happy day

I believe after having the thoughts of passing up an assignment coming Monday and having consecutive tests from Tuesday to Friday, I felt the pressure. heh...

Then today we had our annual FEStival at UTAR which took my mind off studies for a good 2 hours and allowed me to have a good time with my friends at uni! Performed a song with the CF band, my house mates cooked home cooked food and brought to uni, played some games and wall climbing, had a good laugh and then it's time for class.

All I can say is that I enjoyed myself and thank you, Jesus!
