(This post is for me to remember. Don't have to read if not interested hee)
my dad was searching some stuff online and bumped into this puzzle website (smth that got to do with maths) and had me explaining Ruth-Aaron pair and Ruth-Aaron triplet.. haha. Wanna know? Go google it. So, after explaining on email about it, I got interested and went on reading further.
And so, I came to this article on 714 and 715. These 2 numbers got popular when a baseball player, Henry Aaron hit his 715th major league homerun on April 8, 1974, overtaking the previous mark of 714 held by Babe Ruth.
I continued on reading, and this pair (714, 715) is unique!
(a) 714 x 715 = 510510 = 2 x 3 x 5 x 7 x 11 x 13 x 17 (the product of the 1st 7 prime numbers)
(b) 714 = 2 x 3 x 7 x 17 and 715 = 5 x 11 x 13.
IF you add the factors of 714 ===> 2+3+7+17
and u add the factors of 715 ===> 5+11+13
you'll get the same answer.. heehee
(c) 714+715 = 1429.
1429 is a very special number... when you twist it these ways, i.e 1429, 9241, 1249, 9421, 4129, 4219, they are all prime numbers. It's called a backwards-forwards-sideways prime.
