Back home for CNY

Driving my bro's car back home is fine, but his car having no radio is sad. 3 of us (Abelene, Amos and I) had to sing almost the whole way home. The rest of the time, I was being 'bullied' by the Phuas (I mean, who hasn't, right?)

I still love you, Ah Phua-s

Big sis coming back with Josh; big bro also coming back after work.

Dad thought I was Abigail
dad to me : eh, why you didn't off your room light upstairs?
me : *continue watching tv* (I just arrived from KL and didn't go to my room)
dad : eh? I thought you are Abigail! *laugh laugh*

Mum thought I was Abigail
mum to me : eh, where's ah jie? ('ah jie' means older sis = pb tan)
me : *continue using the computer*
mum : oh... *continues sweeping floor and pretended she didn't say anything*

I guess changing my hair colour did not help.. It's either Abigail look older or I look younger heh. I'm happy with both.

Happy CNY everyone!

Road Survival Program

I attended City Survival Skill (for ladies only) by Capt K. Bala last year, and I learned so much on staying safe & staying alive. KL is not as safe as Kuantan (although I got robbed in my own house back in Kuantan).

Just now I attended Road Survival Program, also by Capt K. Bala and I'm sure everyone that attended will agree with me that the workshop was worth the RM30. I didn't know so many things! Because I'm a frequent driver, I should take note of all that he had taught us.

Which side of the road you should drive when it's raining?

What you should do when you have a flat tyre?

What tools you need in your car?

What is the use of a spare T-shirt? (haha, his demonstration was funny)

When pump petrol which part you should go?

What should you do when your car / someone else's car caught fire?

If someone is tailgating you?

If someone threw eggs at your windscreen/smashed your windscreen?

and so many more things!

If there's another talk by him, I will definitely go =)

Grandfather and Grandmother

The moment I entered my grandparent's place, I saw my grandmother watching TV (as usual) haha. I think every time I come here we talked about the same thing:

How is your studies? Can earn a lot of money? Next time you need to give us allowance.. After studying you don't wanna continue? etc etc.. I struggled in my very broken Mandarin to answer her but I think she is used to it. *malu*

My grandfather will talk to me the same topic as he always did whenever I'm here:

How is your walk with God? Study the bible everyday? Pray everyday? Still attending the same church? Who is the pastor? How is he? How is the teaching? etc.. Thank God my grandfather speaks English heh.. I can't imagine speaking about church and my spiritual walk in Mandarin.

To Singapore

Going to Singapore to visit my sis and grandparents, and hopefully some friends =)

Lord, I pray for safe journey as I walk to LRT, take bus, and fly! (to and fro)

Uncle Ian

Uncle Ian will be one of the teachers that I will miss...

I love his voice. He taught me how to sing correctly, to correct my habits by teaching me the right ones to cultivate. Despite just being able to attend his class for a few months, he has taught me so much, and even had high hopes in me. Very dedicated and never gives up..

I was being corrected, pushed, felt frustrated... but I've learnt so much. I don't think I have ever got stuck in one scale for the whole half an hour just because I couldn't go from one note to another smoothly. *ahem. will continue practicing.

I will remember as much as he has taught me, and I will continue to teach others what I have learnt. Certainly I have been blessed. I will miss doing crazy scales, reaching whistling high voice etc.

One advice he gave me that I remember clearly was that the best teacher is myself. I got to feel on the inside the right way, and that's how I improved in my singing. By feeling.

Thanks uncle Ian. May you rest in peace.

Home =)

I like being back home.. Besides being able to lepak at home, literally goyang kaki the whole day and being my sister's driver, I get home cooked food. Ahhh...

My family normally eat very simple meal at home. Just soup + rice, with any vege on the side. Because in the soup got vege and chicken. I love soup. I can just drink soup for dinner and I'm a happy girl. =D
