Updates!

I am desperate to go back home to Kuantan haha.

Uni life has been busy, but I'm used to it already. Been like that for every student since year 1 =D I still think life as a student is much simpler than working life. We can be more flexible with time.

Finally get to scrub the toilet. There's this feeling of satisfaction and uh..happiness to see the toilet clean. Well, there's always the bad side effect where my hands now are dried up and skin peeling. Effects of detergent. I will buy a pair of gloves...next time.. *procrastination*

This Wednesday I'll be having Graduation photo shoot with my dear classmates who will be graduating with me. This means, I will be ending my studies soon (end of the year).. sad.. But so happy that we survived this course together.

Now, back to my assignments! Bye~

A beautiful sight

Despite the tear gas, the running, the beating, the arrest etc...

The people who went for Bersih rally has proven one thing: There are Malaysians out there who WANTS to unite the races.

The people are looking past their skin colours, their differences, and lend a helping hand to one another. There's hope for Malaysia. I remember back in my Primary School days, my closest friends were Malays. They taught me how to speak fluent BM and we did not know that we are different.

I smiled to sleep yesterday knowing that there's a large group on Malaysia who are 'Colour Blind'.

Oh, one more thing.. Don't hate the government and the PM. Just love Malaysia, love the people, love God.

Fathers' Day

Fathers' Day weekend just passed. I sang Chinese during the bilingual service woooooo... it was tough memorizing those words haha. Good experience =)

Let me tell you a little about my dad. I would brag about my friends and family so now's my dad's turn.

1. He's my GPS
- When I'm lost in KL, I will call him (who is in Kuantan) to direct me. Is it man or my dad who can visualize the traffic lights on the Jalan I was on, and what's on the left and right and which part is uphill or downhill? Superpower.

2. He likes to hear his children play music and sing.
- I notice when any of us siblings play piano/guitar, or start singing, my dad has a certain body magnet that pulled himself towards us... and stood there. Sometimes he would sing along.

3. He likes movie TOO!
- Yes, I go out for movie with my dad whenever I'm back at hometown

4. He likes ice-cream at the beach TOO!
- When I'm not so full after dinner and when I'm back in Kuantan, we will almost certainly go to the beach for McD's ice-cream =) It's different having ice-cream in normal McD shop and McD by the beach. Different, I tell you.

5. I can ask my dad about anything.
- about how he pikat my mum, how was their courtship like, his ministry when he was young, when my computer got virus what should I do, when my car is not functioning normally what should I do... I'll ask my dad questions and somehow he knows the answer. Weird.

6. Do you have a dad who will dance around with his towel in front of the TV and then fart? *hands up* Or will BBM his daughter 'Hi Babe, I miss you'. I didn't know how to respond to that (sorry dad haha I could only laugh)

Fathers will still be boys I guess. They have this little boy character in them that will never leave even after they have a family and get older. Happy fathers' day to all fathers!

Parking space

When I was little, my mum taught my siblings and I this prayer:

Lord Jesus, grant us a parking space. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

I never what I was praying, I only knew that's what we do every time my dad drives round a parking lot. It became like a phrase that I learnt not paying attention to the words.

I started to say this prayer again every time I drive around to look for a parking space, this time with understanding. And God always grant me one nice spot.

In UTAR, before you purchase the car sticker, you need to register for balloting. If your number is picked, then you can purchase the car sticker and secure yourself a parking space. I guess it's a rare chance to get a parking. Have been parking at the housing area and walk into UTAR all these semesters.

A friend of mine told me that the results for ballot is out. On the way to uni, I prayed this prayer I learnt as a child.

Lord Jesus, grant me a parking space. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Drove up to the guard house and the guard told me that he has the results. My ballot number: 0322. Checked, and well, I got a parking spot.

Always always pray. That's all I have to say =)
