Bus troubles

Since 2004, whenever we Kuantanites sit bus, we've been facing many difficulties arriving our destinations.

2004 (YLDP)
The bag compartment of the bus opened on the way to Seremban, the winding part of the journey. 3 girls lost their luggages and most of their belongings, thankfully a man found one of the luggage (the contact number was written on it) and collected the clothes that were along the road.

We missed the bus home to Kuantan. Had to get a ticket from Seremban to KL, buy new bus ticket from Pekeliling. That's when we discovered Bulan Restu.. took the midnight bus home, but detoured due to flood.

2005 (YLDP)
The return bus to Kuantan was spoilt halfway, so they had to change bus. And the 'new' bus air-cond wasn't functioning. (I wasn't there with the gang. Stayed back in Seremban)

2006 (Youthquake) & 2007 (YLDP)
Because we had so much trouble with buses, this time the counsellor drove the youths to the campsite (KKB). So, no problem!

2008 (Camp 18-up)
The counsellor drove the youths for YLDP, while Frederick and I took bus to Camp 18-up. My bus home was suppose to be at 3.30pm. The bus (Transnational) needed repair, so I waited until 5pm. I bought a new bus ticket under Sutera company for the 5pm bus. Later they announced that my Transnational bus has arrived. So, I ran for my bus.. and my bus left me. I waited for the Sutera bus until 7pm. It finally came.

The bus was in a bad condition. But I was grateful to be away from the Puduraya station. Fresh air. So I manage to take a nap for a while until I heard, "Tekan clutch tu kuat sikit! Jangan tukar gear lagi! BREK BREK!!" etc etc... apparently the bus driver was teaching his attendant how to drive. They went up the divider, the bus was jerky, wasn't safe. My phone and Frederick's phone no battery. My dad asked me to just get down from the bus.

We got down at Gombak. Found a public phone, called Esther if we can put a night at her house. Took a cab to Puchong which cost us RM 60!!

Thanks Addison and family for the dinner and allowing us to use the bathroom. Thanks Wee family for a place to sleep.. Thanks Jo for the ride to LRT station. We manage to get Bulan Restu bus the next day at 8am. Thankfully the bus hasn't left and they still have place.
