12 of us from camp went to Rumah Petros on Monday. It is under Malaysian Care and situated at Jalan Pisang, Old Klang Road. Anyway, there are 2 homes, one for the male and the other for female. We spent most of the time at the male's house. It is a halfway home where they accept the people who just came out from prison and provide food and shelter for them.
We were briefed on their daily routines, how Malaysian Care started, how it is funded (by donations). Then, we had the chance to fellowship with the residents.
It was a great time of praise and worship, hearing their testimonies and seeing how grateful they were. I was really encouraged by their excitement in sharing God's grace that they experienced, how they accepted the Lord and how passionate they were in helping others who are in the same position they were in.
I wished I had longer time to talk to them, but we had to leave back to MCKL. So, we ended with a few carols. It's great to see them smile, feel accepted and loved.
